Summer Smooches!

Here is a project that I made using products from the Summer Smooch products that will be in the 2012-2013 catalog. The stamp set is # 125497 Bright Blossoms; DSP # 125409 Summer Smooches DSP; Ribbon #125583 Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon; Cardstock and Ink: Island Indigo, So Saffron, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White. I also used some of the Basic Pearls # 119247 on the flowers.

These products will also be used in my up-coming "More Bang for Your Buck" class on April 28.

It's A Wrap Occasions Fun!

I have been playing with the It's A Wrap Occasion (#123590 Wood or 123592 for Clear mount) set this week and have had a tremendous amount of fun using scraps of paper and ribbon to make these fun treats with our new 1"x8" cello bags (# 124134) in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I just know that my next trip to a candy store will take on a whole new meaning!

Wouldn't these make fun favors for a Baby Shower? You could use Jelly Beans or whatever else to make that "cigar" look! They are as much fun to make as they are to give out!

And how about some cough drops when a friend or coworker is feeling a little under the weather? These would be a great way to say "I care"!

And for your Hostesses? The possibilities with this set and the It's A Wrap Holiday (also in the Holiday Mini) are only as limited as your imagination!

Flower Fest Birthday Card, Gift Set and New Catalog Sneek Peek!!

Today is my Granddaughter, Morgynn's birthday. And I needed a birthday card for a 5 year old. I think the fun and bright colors of this card and gift bag fit. When I called and asked mom what to get this child? CARS! So inside this cute, flowery, bright card are Matchbox cars! I think it's hilarious because they both fit!

The colors in this gate-fold card were selected from the Color Roundup Challenge #35. Which can be found here: http://rubberredneck.typepad.com/rubber-redneck/2011/06/color-round-up-35.html
The colors are: "Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango and Whisper White"
Stamp set used is "Flower Fest (#122280)" from the Summer Mini Catalog.
I also used the 1" Circle (#119868) and Fancy Flower (#118073) punches.
The Gift Bag is a plain white gift bag stamped in the same colors. For this bag I used two sets from the upcoming 2011-12 Idea Book and Catalog. Pennant Parade and Happiest Birthday Wishes. The Petite Pennants Builder Punch was also used to punch the pennants.

Blossom Triple Layer Punch

This set was made using: Baja Breeze (#111352), Early Espresso (#119686) and Pear Pizzazz Pattern Paper (#117158). Accessories: Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (#122464),  Basic Jewels (#119246), and Early Espresso 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon (#120931), Paper Snips (#103579) and the Crop-A-Dile (#108362).
I have been asked for instructions for the notebook. So I will post them here in case anyone else wants them.
It is a cheap 4" x 6" spiral notebook found almost anywhere.

Tear a piece of paper from the book and make a template for the holes. Punch the holes with the Crop-A-Dile, Or use the "Handheld Punch Item # 101227". Use the Paper Snips to snip the edge of the card stock just to the holes. This allows you to cover the front of the notebook to the edge. Just poke the CS  between the spirals.
Punch two flower centers with the Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet Punch from Baja Breeze CS. This is just the blossom part. From Early Espresso Punch two complete sets (outer ring and blossom), one outer ring and one solid flower. From Pear Pizzazz DSP Punch two complete sets.

Cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz 2" x 4" for the belly band and adhere to cover with Snail, or your favorite adhesive. Arrange Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso blossoms in the four corners. Add a Baja Breeze blossom and outer ring to the center of the belly band. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the blossoms. Adhere a Baja Breeze blossom to the solid Early Espresso flower. Then cut in fourths to make the corners on the belly band, add jewels to the flower centers and Voila! You are done!

This card was made from the same supplies as the notebook, the only difference being; Tools: Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches.  Whisper White CS, Pear Pizzazz Ink and "it's your day!" from a new hostess set called "Happiest Birthday Wishes." What a fun gift set they would make!

Cardstock: Basic Black andWhisper White. Accessories: Blossom Bouquet TLP, Scallop Trim Border, Corner punches. Basic Pearls, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

My Craft Room is Useable Now!

Finally! After a very long year, I have a mostly finished craft room to stamp and create fun projects in! It is not yet finished as I still need a new desk chair and to complete the organizing of my tools and other sections of the room, but at least I can STAMP!

Here are some pictures of my craft room.
My tool wall. Still under construction but sooooo fun!
Sorry for the poor lighting. Curtains for this window are in design mode yet.
Big Shot and Printer Station
Inspiration Station. I have more stamps than that, but many are still packed. Just getting set up.
